NeuralamaBot

NeuralamaBot is an automated crawler operated by Neuralama that audits Shopify storefronts for AI-discoverability signals (structured data, robots.txt/sitemap.xml configuration, and product metadata quality) on behalf of merchants who have installed the Neuralama app.

Identification

NeuralamaBot identifies itself via the following User-Agent on every request:

NeuralamaBot/1.0 (+https://neuralama.com/bots/neuralamabot)

Politeness

• Rate-limited per store: signed (Web Bot Auth authorized) stores are crawled at up to 60 requests/minute; unsigned stores are crawled at a stricter 10 requests/minute.
• Honors HTTP 429/430 responses and the Retry-After header with exponential backoff.
• Supports Shopify Web Bot Auth (Signature-Input/Signature/ Signature-Agent headers) — merchants can authorize NeuralamaBot in Shopify admin under Online Store → Preferences → Crawler access.
